Eagles Make Roster Move, Elevate Two From Practice Squad For Monday Night Game

The Philadelphia Eagles have made a roster move ahead of their Monday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts, elevating two players from the practice squad.

The Eagles have elevated cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. and defensive end Matt Leo from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for Vincent and Leo, the Eagles have released cornerback Tay Gowan and defensive end JaQuan Bailey.

Vincent, a seventh-round pick by the Broncos in the 2022 NFL Draft, has appeared in two games for the Eagles this season, recording one tackle. Leo, an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, has not appeared in a game for the Eagles this season.

The Eagles are hoping that Vincent and Leo can provide some depth to their defense, which has been dealing with injuries. Starting cornerback Avonte Maddox is doubtful for Monday's game with a hamstring injury, and starting defensive end Brandon Graham is questionable with a knee injury.

The Eagles are currently 8-0 and are looking to extend their winning streak to nine games on Monday night. The Colts are 3-4-1 and are coming off a bye week.

Here are some additional details about the roster move:

  • Vincent wore the number 38 jersey at LSU, and 2 at the Senior Bowl and in the NFL.
  • Vincent's older brother, Kary Vincent Sr., was drafted in the 7th round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.
  • Matt Leo's twin brother, Michael, is a defensive tackle on the Las Vegas Raiders.
  • Matt Leo, an Aggie, played in the same college as Eagles starting left guard, Devon Achane.
